Test for diagnosing erectile dysfunction
Depending on what your healthcare provider suspects is causing erectile dysfunction, the following tests may be ordered:
- Blood tests.
- Complete blood count (CBC).
- Lipid panel.
- Thyroid tests.
- Testosterone test.
- Urinalysis (urine test).
- Penile Doppler ultrasound.
- Liver function tests.
- Kidney function tests.
- Tests that measure if the nerves in your penis respond to vibrations (penile biothesiometry).
- Drugs that temporarily make your penis erect (vasoactive injection).
- Magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA).
It is very likely that initially you will be asked a series of questions related to your ED.
