The following plants are known to contain PDE5 inhibitors:
- Horny Goat Weed: a herb rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, has been used to address a variety of conditions such as nerve pain, fatigue, atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, hay fever, and erectile dysfunction (ED). - Pomegranate: its juice might aid in managing erectile dysfunction.
- Yohimbe: an evergreen tree found in central and western Africa, is known for its bark containing yohimbine, a natural PDE5 inhibitor. Traditionally, it has been used as an aphrodisiac and to support sexual performance, with claims of its effectiveness in treating erectile dysfunction.
- Ashwagandha: a root also called "Indian ginseng" has been a cornerstone of Ayurvedic medicine for over 3,000 years. It is renowned for its reputed aphrodisiac, rejuvenating, sedative, and life-enhancing properties, along with general claims of promoting overall wellness.
